The Ugandan Shilling is the national currency of the Republic of Uganda in East Africa. The current Ugandan Shilling with ISO code ‘UGX’ was introduced in 1987 and is issued by the Bank of Uganda. It replaced the first Ugandan shilling (UGS) that was Uganda’s national currency from 1966.
