The Rand is the national currency of the Republic of South Africa. It is subdivided into 100 cents. The South African Reserve Bank is the oldest central bank in Africa. It issues the South African rand banknotes and coins since 1961.
At Leftover Currency we exchange all South African banknotes and coins: Current rand banknotes with Nelson Mandela’s portrait, as well as the discontinued rand banknotes of the Big Five wildlife series. South African coins are also accepted for exchange, including the older, withdrawn South African Rand coins.
