The Bolivian Boliviano is the national currency of Bolivia and has the ISO code ‘BOB’. The Boliviano was introduced as the official currency of Bolivia on January 1, 1987, replacing the Bolivian Peso. This change was part of Bolivia’s monetary reform to stabilise its economy and control hyperinflation. Since then, the boliviano has been the country’s national currency.
Bolivian banknotes feature symbols of the nation’s cultural and natural heritage, such as images of wildlife and historic landmarks.
The Bolivian Boliviano is not an easy currency to exchange outside of Bolivia. However, at Leftover Currency we are able to exchange all current Bolivian Boliviano banknotes to cash.
