Introduced in 1973, the Barbadian Dollar is the national currency of the Caribbean island of Barbados. The ‘Bajan’ dollar, ISO-code BBD, is divided into 100 cents, similar to the US dollar, to which it is pegged at a fixed rate of US$1 = Bds$2.

These banknotes, issued in denominations from $1 to $100 BBD are no longer in use on Barbados and were replaced by the modern series which has more advanced security features.
