The Nepalese Rupee (NPR) is the currency of Nepal since 1932. Nepal’s currency used to be pegged to the Indian Rupee at par, but since 1994 the rate is 1.60 Nepalese Rupee to 1 Indian Rupee.
The Nepali Rupee is a closed currency, which means that you won’t easily find a money changer outside of Nepal that buys or sells Nepalese Rupees. However at Leftover Currency we are able to exchange all current Nepalese Rupee banknotes, as well as all Nepalese Rupee coins.
