Issued by the European Central Bank, there are currently two sets of Euro notes in circulation. The First Issue, introduced in 2002, and the Second Issue, introduced from 2013. Old Euro banknotes remain valid and legal tender, with the exception of 500 euro notes.

10 Euros banknote (Second series)
The 10 euro banknote from the second series has improved security features, including a hologram strip. The map of Europe is larger than the previous version so it includes Cyprus. The second series €20 banknote has church windows and a bridge in Gothic architectural style. The map on the back side of the blue colored twenty euro note is larger than the older version €20 note so it includes Cyprus.
