The banknote of 500 Nepali Rupees features two mountains from the Himalayan range on its front side: Mount Everest on the left hand side and Mount Ama Dablam in the centre, next to an image of Tengboche Monastery also known as Dawa Choling Gompa. The back side of the 500 NPR bill shows either one tiger (2016 version) or two tigers in the snow (2012 and earlier versions).
