They are part of the current Nepalese Rupee banknotes series. The Nepal Rastra Bank started issuing these 10 Nepalese Rupee banknotes in 2007. They are currently still in circulation.
Similar to all Nepalese banknotes, the Rs10 bill features Mount Everest on the obverse side. Next to Mt. Everest is an image of the Garud Narayan statue of Changu Narayan Temple, located on a high hilltop in Changunarayan. The back side shows one blackbuck antilope on the 2017 version and three blackbucks on the series of 2012 and earlier.
