The Pound currency

The Pound Sterling is the national currency of the United Kingdom. Pound Sterling notes issued by the Bank of England are in use in England, Wales, Scotland and in Northern Ireland. Sterling banknotes are also accepted in Gibraltar, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Falkland Islands, the British Antarctic Territory, Saint Helena, Tristan da Cunha, Ascension, South Georgia, the Sandwich Islands.
