2 Brazilian Reais banknote (2010 issue)

Like all 2010 series banknotes from Brazil, the R$2 Brazilian real bill has the head of the allegorical figure of the Republic on the front side. Adjacent to this is the text ‘Deus seja louvado’, which translates as ‘God be praised’. This motif has featured on all Brazilian banknotes since the 1980s. On the reverse of the note is the Hawksbill sea turtle, a critically endangered species that is found in the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific oceans.
