50 old Leva banknote Bulgaria
The Bulgarian National Bank issued Bulgarian Lev banknotes in 16 different denominations,
including this 50 old Leva banknote Bulgaria. They are part of the withdrawn Bulgarian Old Lev banknotes series. The Bulgarian National Bank started issuing
these 50 Bulgarian Lev banknotes in 1992. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1999.
The banknote of 50 old Bulgarian Lev has the portrait of publisher Hristo Gruev Danov on the front side. The 50 BGL note also features Danov’s platen printing press. In 1999 this banknote was redenominated and replaced by a coin of 0.05 new Lev (5 stotinki).
