The State Bank of Pakistan started issuing these 5000 Pakistani Rupee banknotes in 2006. They are currently still in circulation.
The brown-coloured Rs5000 banknote is Pakistan’s highest value paper money note. Like all other Pakistani Rupee banknotes it features the portrait of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan. On the back side is an image of Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, of which the design was inspired by a Bedouin tent.
