100 Ukrainian Hryvnias banknote (Taras Shevchenko)

The National Bank of Ukraine issued Ukrainian Hryvnia banknotes in 9 different denominations, including this 100 Ukrainian Hryvnias banknote (Taras Shevchenko). They are part of the current Ukrainian Hryvnia banknotes series. The National Bank of Ukraine started issuing these 100 Ukrainian Hryvnia banknotes in 2005. They are currently still in circulation.

Ukraine’s banknote of ₴100 hryvnias from the third series features poet and artist Taras Shevchenko on the front side, along with lines from one of his poems, paint brushes and a paint palette. On the back side of the one hundred Ukrainian hryvnia note is an image of Taras Hill in Shevchenko National Preserve in Kaniv. Also visible are two people, one of which is playing a lute (a medieval instrument resembling a guitar).
