They are part of the withdrawn Iraqi Dinar banknotes series. The Central Bank of Iraq started issuing these 10 Iraqi Dinar banknotes in 1980. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2003.
The old 10 dinar banknote from Iraq shows the portrait of mathematician, astronomer and physician Hasan Ibn al-Haytham on the Arabic language side. The English language side features the leaning al-Hadba’ Minaret in Mosul, known as “the hunchback”. The minaret was part of the Great Mosque of al-Nuri, destroyed in the battle of Mosul in 2017.
