The blue-coloured ₭10,000 Lao Kip banknote features President Kaysonne Phomvihane’s portrait on the obverse side, in front of the Pha That Luang stupa in Vientiane. On the reverse side of the 10000 LAK bill is an image of the First Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge over the River Mekong on the border between Laos and Thailand. Traffic in Laos drives on the right side of the road, except on this bridge, where traffic drives on the left side, as in Thailand.
