100 Thai Baht banknote (Vajiralongkorn)
The Bank of Thailand issued Thai Baht banknotes in 6 different denominations,
including this 100 Thai Baht banknote (Vajiralongkorn). They are part of the current Thai Baht banknotes series. The Bank of Thailand started issuing
these 100 Thai Baht banknotes in 2018. They are currently still in circulation.
The red-coloured banknote of 100 Thai Baht shows the King of Thailand, Vajiralongkorn. The only son of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit is ruler of Thailand since 2016. New banknotes were printed with his portrait. They all feature the current King of Thailand, Rama X, on the front side and previous Kings of Thailand called ‘Rama’ on the back side. The ฿100 bill’s back side has portraits of Kings Rama V the Great Chulalongkorn (1853-1910) and Rama VI Vajiravudh (1881-1925).
