1000 Ugandan Shillings banknote (banana tree)
The Bank of Uganda issued Ugandan Shilling banknotes in 13 different denominations, including this 1000 Ugandan Shillings banknote (banana tree). They are part of the demonetised Ugandan Shilling banknotes series. The Bank of Uganda started issuing these 1000 Ugandan Shilling banknotes in 2005. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2013.
The front side of this 1000 Ugandan Shillings bill features a worker near a banana plant. The back of the old 1000 UGX note features a grain storage facility and trucks.
