20000 Ugandan Shillings banknote (crested crane)
The Bank of Uganda issued Ugandan Shilling banknotes in 13 different denominations, including this 20000 Ugandan Shillings banknote (crested crane). They are part of the demonetised Ugandan Shilling banknotes series. The Bank of Uganda started issuing these 20000 Ugandan Shilling banknotes in 2004. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2013.
Uganda’s national bird, the crested crane, is featured on the front side of the 20,000 Ugandan Shillings banknote. The reverse of the 20,000 UGX bill features Uganda’s Parliament building in Kampala.
