1/2 Dinar Kuwait banknote (2nd Issue)
The Central Bank of Kuwait issued Kuwaiti Dinar banknotes in 7 different denominations,
including this 1/2 Dinar Kuwait banknote (2nd Issue). They are part of the Kuwaiti Dinars demonetized banknotes series. The Central Bank of Kuwait started issuing
these 0.5 Kuwaiti Dinar banknotes in 1970. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1982.
The main building of Kuwait University is shown on the reverse side of this banknote of half a dinar. The portrait of Sheik Sabah bin Salim al-Sabah is shown on the old 1/2 KWD bill’s obverse side.
