The 1986 version of the $1 Malaysian Ringgit banknote is blue coloured and has the portrait of Tuanku Abdul Rahman on the front side. The back side features the Tugu Negara monument in Kuala Lumpur, commemorating those who died fighting for Malaysia’s freedom.
