100 Zambian Kwacha banknote (1992 to 2011)

The Bank of Zambia issued Zambian kwacha banknotes in 14 different denominations, including this 100 Zambian Kwacha banknote (1992 to 2011). They are part of the demonetised Zambian Kwacha banknotes series. The Bank of Zambia started issuing these 100 Zambian kwacha banknotes in 1992. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2013.

This note of 100 Zambian Kwacha has a date from 1992 to 2011: before the Redenomination of the kwacha in 2013. As such, the 100 ZMK bill has a value equivalent to 0.10 kwacha (10 ngwee) today. Similar to all other Zambian Kwacha banknotes from the era the front side shows a fish eagle. The back side of the old 100 ZMK banknote features an African buffalo head, alongside an image of Victoria Falls and the Freedom Statue in Lusaka.
