20 Zambian Kwacha banknote (1992)
The Bank of Zambia issued Zambian kwacha banknotes in 14 different denominations, including this 20 Zambian Kwacha banknote (1992). They are part of the demonetised Zambian Kwacha banknotes series. The Bank of Zambia started issuing these 20 Zambian kwacha banknotes in 1992. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2013.
The 1992-dated, green-coloured K20 bill features a fish eagle perched on a branch, with a tree in the background. The back side of the old 20 Kwacha banknote shows Freedom Statue, also known as the Chainbreaker, in Zambia’s capital Lusaka.
