10 Dinara banknote Republic of Croatia
The Croatian National Bank issued Croatian Dinar banknotes in 13 different denominations, including this 10 Dinara banknote Republic of Croatia. They are part of the obsolete Croatian Dinar banknotes series. The Croatian National Bank started issuing these 10 Croatian Dinar banknotes in 1991. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1994.
Astronomer Ruder Boskovic is pictured on the Croatian Dinar banknotes, including this one of 10 dinara. Living in the 18th century, Boskovic discovered a method to determine the orbit of a comet from three observations, the drawings of which are featured on the obverse side of this Deset Hrvatskih Dinara banknote. On the reverse side is an image of Zagreb Cathedral and Tower Gate, also in Zagreb.
