100 Mexican Pesos banknote (Series D)
The Banco de Mexico issued Mexican Peso banknotes in 7 different denominations,
including this 100 Mexican Pesos banknote (Series D). They are part of the withdrawn Mexican Peso banknotes series. The Banco de Mexico started issuing
these 100 Mexican Peso banknotes in 1994. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2002.
The 100 Mexican Pesos banknote from Series D features the 15th Century ruler and warrior Nezahualcoyotl on the front, and a statue of the Aztec god Xochipilli on the reverse. The red/rose coloured $100 MXN banknote from Series D was replaced by a more modern banknote with improved security features but a similar design.
