200 Serbian Dinara banknote
The National Bank of Serbia issued Serbian Dinar banknotes in 10 different denominations, including this 200 Serbian Dinara banknote. They are part of the current Serbian Dinar banknotes series. The National Bank of Serbia started issuing these 200 Serbian Dinar banknotes in 2005. They are currently still in circulation.
This 200 dinara note has the Serbian impressionist painter Nadežda Petrović on both sides. Petrović was a volunteer nurse during the Balkan Wars and then the First World War, during which she contracted typhus and cholera, resulting in her death at the age of 41 in 1915. The reverse side of this 200 RSD banknote also shows the Gračanica Monastery in Kosovo, which was famously painted in a Fauvistic style by Petrović in 1913.
