They were withdrawn from circulation in 1970.
The blue type of the 2 Brazilian Cruzeiros bill is identical in design to the green-coloured 2 cruzeiros note except for the colour. The theme of the banknote is the Brazilian Army. Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, Duke of Caxias, is pictured on the front side. The Duke of Caxias is the official patron of the Army. The back side of the dois cruzeiros bill shows the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN) in Resende, RJ.
