The Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued Sri Lankan Rupee banknotes in 15 different denominations, including this 100 rupees Central Bank of Ceylon banknote (Fauna and Flora series). They were withdrawn from circulation in 1982.

Ceylon’s rs100 banknote from the Fauna and Flora series is orange coloured and features many Sri Lankan native animals and plants, such as a grackle bird, a mango tree, a venomous green pit viper snake and a tree nymph butterfly. The old 100 Ceylonese Rupees bill is dated 1979-03-26.
